K9 Street League is kicking off the new year with Bites-N-Bites, our Drive-Thru Trial!
This unique competition will challenge dogs and handlers through five consecutive obedience and protection scenarios combining realistic situations with sport-based exercises, all centered around vehicles and a drive-thru environment.
Our goal is to bring together the technical skills of dog sport and the practical applications of everyday life in a fun, creative, and competitive setting.
Unlike traditional trials, competitors will navigate five different scenarios back-to-back, testing their dog's obedience, control, protection work, and ability to transition between different challenges.
5 Scenarios. One Run. One Winner.
Each dog-and-handler team will complete five scenarios consecutively, with each presenting its own combination of obedience and protection challenges.
Scenarios will incorporate elements of vehicle-based situations, drive-thru interactions, and sport-style exercises to create a unique competition that tests both the dog's training and the handler's ability to work through different situations.
Scenario details will be released individually through our social media channels in the months leading up to the event. Competitors will have the opportunity to review each scenario and prepare accordingly.
Because this trial incorporates situations inspired by everyday life, training tools will be permitted during the competition.
We want handlers to compete using the training systems and tools they would normally utilize with their dogs.
Additional rules, equipment requirements, and scenario-specific details will be provided as we approach the event.
This is a winner-take-all competition!
The top-performing dog-and-handler team will walk away with the cash prize and the title of Bites-N-Bites Drive-Thru Trial Champion!
